The oxygen cone, also widely referred to as an oxygen dissolution cone or gas-liquid mixing cone, is a professional high-efficiency oxygenation device that has been widely promoted and applied in modern aquaculture, especially in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), industrialized fish farming, and high-density breeding projects. Different from traditional aeration methods such as aeration stones, impeller aerators, and jet aerators, the oxygen cone achieves oxygen dissolution through special fluid mechanics and conical structure design, which greatly improves oxygen utilization efficiency.

Inside the oxygen cone, water flow and oxygen enter the equipment in a specific direction and form a strong rotational flow under the action of pressure. This rotational movement continuously cuts and crushes oxygen into extremely fine micro-bubbles, which greatly increases the contact area and contact time between oxygen and water. Based on the principle of gas-liquid mass transfer, the oxygen in the bubbles is quickly and fully dissolved into the water body, and the oxygen dissolution rate can stably reach more than 90%, which is much higher than that of conventional aeration equipment.
Most oxygen cones are made of corrosion-resistant materials such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP), PVC, or stainless steel, which can maintain stable performance in long-term water environments and resist oxidation and corrosion. The equipment has a simple and compact structure, no rotating parts inside, low energy consumption, quiet operation, and is not easy to block. It is very convenient for installation, daily maintenance and cleaning, and can adapt to different breeding environments and water volumes.
In actual aquaculture production, oxygen cones play an important role in many aspects. They can stably maintain high dissolved oxygen levels in the water, effectively avoid hypoxia stress in fish and shrimp, improve survival rates and growth speed, reduce feed coefficient, and lower the risk of disease outbreaks. At the same time, oxygen cones are also widely used in seedling cultivation systems, live fish transportation tanks, ornamental fish breeding, and industrial water treatment projects that require high dissolved oxygen.
